Magic Goes Wrong

The Mischief Theatre company is enjoying a 12 month residency at the Vaudeville theatre. Their huge West End and Broadway hit, The Play That Goes Wrong, remains a monster hit. Now there's a fresh new comedy on the horizon in theatreland, Magic Goes Wrong, and it's absolutely hilarious. The show has been created by US comedy-magicians Penn & Teller in collaboration with the Mischief company, and is co-produced by JJ Abrams of Star Wars fame. It might even raise more giggles than the legendary Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, and that's saying something.

Penn & Teller are currently the longest running headlining act in Las Vegas. The Mischief Theatre are one of our best-loved comedy theatre groups. The play showcases all sorts of magic, modern and traditional, everything from an old-school magician in a top hat to a mind reader, a circus double act, a quick-change artist and an American jeopardy magician. While many of the tricks go brilliantly wrong, enough of them go right to blow your mind in the most magical way. The plot? A hapless bunch of amateur magicians put on a charity show with a fundraising target. But the more tricks go wrong, the bigger the target gets. If you're looking for funny, it doesn't get much funnier than this...

Hilarious from start to finish
Another brilliant show from the mischief theatre team. It’s a shame it’s time in the west end is coming to an end. I would definitely go again. If you get the chance to see this before it closes, do it, you won’t be disappointed.

Funny as hell
Everything we expected and more from start to finish. Good story line, lots going on from getting in the theatre to the end of the show. What you need to appreciate is that it's harder to get it wrong than right and that is the brilliance of this show. Go see it for yourselves

Made me laugh
Good honest comedy action from start to finish. A story of relationships and love for each other woven around the trials of modern life. The comedy was for all the family with traits of the traditional Christmas specials from old. I loved it, it made laugh and my god did I need a laugh. Great surprises and the magic was definitely Penn and Teller Thanks
