About The Apollo Theatre

The Apollo theatre is on Shaftesbury Avenue. It was originally well known for shorter runs of plays and musicals, although a few productions have bucked the trend and played for much longer. The theatre seats just under 900 people but looks and feels much larger. It's split over four levels and built in a traditional style, with ornate designs and side boxes on three levels. Although huge in scale, each level feels contained and intimate.

My wife really enjoyed the show. I found it good but not as good as I’d hoped, certainly not as good as the TV programmes. The cast were very good but the plot to me was just okay and the ending flat.

Sadly Disappointing
We thought this was going to be a really too knotch performance but sadly the expensive theatre tickets did not match our expectation - we were in the dress circle and at times the diction of the delivery from the actors was poor. The set hardly changed and it felt economies had been made in its production. The storyline was predictable and did not match the original wit of Yes Minister which it led the audience to believe it would by its very title

Remarkable how this has aged
Very good. It just shows how poor our political leaders are and have generally been that this show can take up to date topics and poor the same scorn on them.
