About The Apollo Theatre

The Apollo theatre is on Shaftesbury Avenue. It was originally well known for shorter runs of plays and musicals, although a few productions have bucked the trend and played for much longer. The theatre seats just under 900 people but looks and feels much larger. It's split over four levels and built in a traditional style, with ornate designs and side boxes on three levels. Although huge in scale, each level feels contained and intimate.

Basil is back!
Once you’ve met Basil and the staff, you will never stay at any other hotel! It’s the funniest show ever. The cast is superb and they didn't miss a beat. The transition from 12 episodes to a single performance captures those old episodes to perfection. Three people around me at the show said they were excited to view all the episodes, The play brought back the happy, hearty laughs from long ago. The whole audience was just roaring with laughter. This is a don’t miss!

Brilliant
Loved the show as acting was excellent true to the original tv series and just as hilarious. You’ll need tissues for the tears as you’ll be crying laughing 🤣

So funny and did not disappoint
This show was so funny. The actors were great and played their parts so well. The sketches chosen for the show were the most popular ones and even though you knew what was coming next you couldn't help laughing. Would highly recommend.
