The play was very witty, and cleverly constructed. There were many laughs along the way. The acting was of a very high standard with the exception of Ardal O’Hanlan, who was extremely wooden in his delivery.

Stellar cast, a story with more twists than Chubby Ckecker. A must see.

What a fabulous show! The simple story line meant that the audience could anticipate the narrative and the way the actors paused and held everyone aghast at the catastrophe that was unfolding before our eyes was brilliant. Loved it.

We were a party of four, who didn’t really know what to expect ….and have enjoyed one of our best nights ever. The show, the actors and everything about it was splendid beyond words. We haven’t laughed as much in a long, long time! Hats off to all concerned!

A thoroughly enjoyable and very funny production with excellent acting and a clever, engaging story. The Truth explores infidelity, lies and the increasingly blurred line between honesty and deception, creating plenty of humour while also making the audience question what is really true. Stephen Mangan is outstanding, carrying the entire 90-minute performance with great energy, timing and comic skill. His stage presence is impressive, and he keeps the audience captivated throughout. The rest of the cast — Sarah Hadland, Ardal O’Hanlon and Janie Dee — also deliver excellent performances and complement him perfectly. The set design is simple but highly effective, allowing for quick scene changes that keep the pace of the play moving smoothly. A witty, fast-paced and brilliantly performed comedy — highly recommended for anyone looking for an entertaining evening of theatre.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’d only seen Stephen and Sarah promoting it but so glad I booked. The play was well written, well cast, well acted and above all funny! I loved the format of no interval and an early end. It seemed to help the narrative develop without trying to second guess anything. I would highly recommend you see it 🤗

The show would have been much better if only they would’ve taken care of the sound system. We were sitting in the balcony on the last seat and for the first two episodes we could barely hear what was being said.. you truly need to install speakers in the balcony so that whilst people cannot see the stage in full because of the bars which are right in the eye of the stage at least one can hear the sound of what is being said. Otherwise it was good.

Very well written and well observed character’s! Set was well managed Story kept me interested and a few laugh out loud moments! My only criticism would be that the ending felt like it was not completely resolved and so left me wanting more of a kaboom !! Otherwise really really enjoyed everyone in the show !!

This is a very funny show, cleverly written with lots of surprises. Although it tackles a tricky subject it is a laugh from beginning to end. Stephen Mangan is superb in the leading role.and what a delight it is to see the versatile and hugely talented Janie Dee back in the West End.
