The Distance You Have Come

This fantastic, brand new musical song cycle experience weaves the remarkable story of six like-minded people who are struggling – like we all do – to navigate the complexity of ordinary life... and that's partly what makes it so powerful. In reality, no life is 'ordinary'. The story unfolds via a series of gorgeous tunes by the brilliant Scott Alan, and it's on at the Apollo Theatre. This unusual piece of stage entertainment handles adult themes like depression, heartbreak and the power of love, and showcases Alan's best-loved musical works in one place for the very first time, sung by some of the West End's greatest voices.

The world premiere of The Distance You Have Come stars Hair's Andy Coxon as Samuel. The hopelessly romantic Brian is played by Starlight Express's Adrian Hansel. Emma Hatton, who wowed us in Evita and Wicked, plays Maisey. Jodie Jacobs from Rock of Ages plays Anna, and Dean John-Wilson, who delighted us in Aladdin, portrays Joe. Alexia Khadime from Wicked does everything she can to recapture her sense of worth, damaged by depression and her struggle with life as an artist. Totally amazing!
